Lebanese ace Ondash looks to build on ONE Championship debut win

As debut’s go, they don’t get much more dramatic than that of Abdallah Ondash.
The 22-year-old faced Thailand’s Parnpet Sor Jor Lekmuangnon at ONE Friday Fights 27 and after two cautious rounds he looked to be heading for defeat.
However on the third anniversary of the devastating Beirut port explosion, he dug deep to pull off a stunning stoppage win, with just ONE SECOND left on the clock in the third and final round.
Ondash, whose brothers Ahmad and Ramadan are also martial artists, moved to Thailand to train at the esteemed gym Tiger Muay Thai, but his heart will always be in the coyote he was born and raised in –  Beirut.
Now the Lebanese Muay Thai proponent faces his second test when he takes on Palangboon Wor Santai at ONE Friday Fights 33 this week.
The 126lbs catchweight bout will give Ondash another opportunity to show what he is capable of in the highly competitive world of ONE Muay Thai.
He will be looking to follow up on the performance bonus worth $10,000 he received for his debut knockout win – and build on his 17-1 record in professional Muay Thai.
ONE Friday Fights 33 comes live from the famous Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, Bangkok on Friday September 15. Fight fans in the MENA region can watch the first half of the card on BeINSPORTS from 3.30pm MECCA. The other half of the card is broadcast on ONE Championship’s official YouTube channel and on watch.onefc.com

Iraqi Muay Thai star faces tough test at ONE Friday Fights 33

Iraq’s Ayad AlBadr will take to the ring this week with potentially his toughest task to date at ONE Friday Fights 33.
Having made his ONE Championship debut earlier this year, AlBadr is facing Teeyai PK Saenchai looking to establish himself in both the win column and wider organisation.
The Iraqi athlete, who trains under retired Algerian fighter Mehdi Zatout, hopes to recover from his narrow debut defeat in which he lost via a controversial unanimous decision against his Malaysian counterpart Elias Ghazali at ONE Friday Fights 2 on January 27.
Taking place at a 129lbs catchweight, this bout is a tough one for the Iraqi, with Teeyai having three wins under his belt from three contests in ONE – two of those have come by impressive stoppages.
AlBadr is a two-time IFMA gold medal winner, and was their fighter of the year back in 2018, so comes with an impressive pedigree, which he will now be keen to translate into one of the biggest stages in the sport.
The Venum Training Camp athlete has been working intensely since his January loss, and looks particularly sharp – and ready to cause what many would consider an upset on Friday.
Teeyai holds an overall record of 58-20 while Albadr’s professional record stands at 12-5.
Albadr is the first Iraqi fighter to participate in ONE Championship’s weekly fight series ONE Friday Fights while his compatriot Mustafa Al Tekreeti featured on the ONE Friday Fights 3 card.
ONE Friday Fights 33 comes live from the famous Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, Bangkok on Friday September 15. Fight fans in the MENA region can watch the first half of the card (including AlBadr) on BeINSPORTS from 3.30pm MECCA. The other half of the card is broadcast on ONE Championship’s official YouTube channel and on watch.onefc.com

Alpine Eagle 41 XPS by Chopard showcases timeless elegance and bold innovations

With Alpine Eagle, Chopard has created a contemporary sporty-chic collection featuring a pure design paired with a sophisticated mechanism.
Following a flyback chronograph movement, a high-frequency calibre and a flying tourbillon, Alpine Eagle is extending its range with an ultra-thin model featuring a small seconds indication. Measuring just 3.30 mm thick, the L.U.C 96.40-L movement is just one of the feats achieved by the watchmaking artisans of Chopard Manufacture.
Its advanced features enable the Alpine Eagle 41 XPS to beat with chronometer-certified accuracy, while guaranteeing 65 hours of power reserve thanks to Chopard Twin technology. The Alpine Eagle 41 XPS with its 41 mm-diameter case and integrated bracelet is entirely crafted in the Maison’s workshops from Lucent Steel™: an exclusive, ultra-resistant and remarkably shiny alloy made from 80% recycled materials.
Its optimal proportions and textured “Monte Rosa Pink” dial endow this model with undeniable elegance and distinction; while its finishes, reflecting the highest Haute Horlogerie standards, have earned it recognition by the coveted Poinçon de Genève.
Inspired by a historic Chopard model reinterpreted by three generations of men from the Scheufele family, the Alpine Eagle collection has been constantly enriched by new achievements since its launch. The latest of these is a signature movement from Chopard Manufacture, developed thanks to the watchmaking expertise steadily acquired by its workshops since 1996 – and to which the introduction of the L.U.C 96.40-L movement with small seconds indication within a watch in the Alpine Eagle collection bears vibrant testimony.
Greatly appreciated by watch enthusiasts, the small seconds display made its collection debut with the 2022 release of the Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon model. It now once again embodies the horological roots of this collection comprising timepieces powered by in-house movements with chronometer-certified precision, meticulously decorated and equipped with key innovations from the Manufacture, such as the gold micro-rotor and Chopard Twin technology.
With the Alpine Eagle 41 XPS, Chopard orchestrates an encounter between the finest Chopard Manufacture movements and the sporty elegance of the Alpine Eagle collection.

A precision-certified movement
The main immediately identifiable characteristic of the L.U.C 96.40-L movement is its extreme thinness: resulting from the development of the first Chopard Manufacture calibre (the L.U.C 96.01-L presented in 1997), it measures just 3.30 mm thick. To facilitate precise time-setting, it is equipped with a stop-seconds function. It also features a swan’s neck enabling finer adjustment of the oscillating frequency – and thus the rate of the watch – by helping to modify the active hairspring length. In addition to its technical interest, the swan’s neck endows the calibre with a more elaborate aesthetic.
The precision of this movement, which also powers a small seconds dial display, is certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute, as evidenced by the “Chronometer” inscription on the dial below the logo. This demand for accuracy embedded in the DNA of Swiss watchmaking lies at the very core of the philosophy upheld by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele (Co-President of the Maison) and drives the entire creative process of the Manufacture.
Thanks to its two stacked barrels based on Chopard Twin technology, the L.U.C 96.40-L movement guarantees a 65-hour power reserve, and its automatic winding system operates via a 22-carat gold off-centre micro-rotor whose density contributes to the movement’s slenderness. Recalling the attention to detail cultivated by the artisans of emotions, each bridge is adorned with a Côtes de Genève motif and all other movement components are finished in compliance with the Poinçon de Genève criteria.
Sophisticated aesthetics
The thin movement has contributed to optimising the proportions of the Alpine Eagle 41 XPS watch: the case is only 8 mm thick, while the sides and bezel have been trimmed compared to a classic Alpine Eagle Large model, resulting in a wider dial.
These well balanced proportions that have always characterised the collection imbue this timepiece with a gracefully elegant appearance.
Drawing inspiration from the power of Nature, the Alpine Eagle collection clearly reflects Chopard’s creative richness and visionary spirit. The Alpine Eagle 41 XPS remains true to this aesthetic: a round case with stylised flanks, a crown engraved with a compass rose, a bezel with eight functional screws set at a tangent, a stamped dial with intense colours, luminescent indications and an eminently wearable metal bracelet.

Lucent Steel™: an innovative metal
Demonstrating Chopard’s commitment to the use of raw materials combining performance and responsible origins, the Alpine Eagle 41 XPS timepiece is made of Lucent Steel™, an innovative alloy composed of 80% recycled materials, developed by Chopard for its anti-allergenic virtues, its robustness and its incomparable brilliance achieved through a meticulous recasting process.
An unprecedented “Monte Rosa Pink” dial colour
The dial is textured on a brass base according to a pattern inspired by the eagle’s iris. It is adorned with gold hands, enhanced with Grade X1 Super-LumiNova® – which is 60% more luminous than traditional LumiNova and more resistant to ageing.
A new colour is making its debut on the dial of this new model: like Aletsch Blue, Bernina Grey or Pink Dawn, “Monte Rosa Pink” is inspired by the palette of natural colours composing the beauty of the Alpine landscape. This novel hue that is sure to stoke the desire of collectors, evokes the pinkish shimmer after which the second highest mountain range in the Alps is named.
The Dufourspitze/Punta Dufour located there is also the highest Swiss peak.
Poinçon de Genève: a guarantee of fine craftsmanship
Vertically integrated throughout its production process, Chopard makes and assembles all the components of its Alpine Eagle collection in-house, from movement to case to bracelet.
The entire timepiece is thus certified by the Poinçon de Genève quality hallmark. The latter guarantees the impeccable quality and smooth functioning of the timepieces assembled in the Canton. Stamped on the back of the watch and on the main movement bridge, it represents the coat-of-arms of the city of Geneva composed of a gold key and above all an eagle: a symbol recalling the original inspiration for the Alpine Eagle collection.
After the Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon, the Alpine Eagle 41 XPS is the second watch in the collection to earn recognition by this prestigious label of excellence.

WATCH: Algerian star scores stunning KO win at ONE Friday Fights 32

Algerian teenager Nabil Anane picked up the first win of his ONE Championship career, with a stunning knockout at ONE Friday Fights 32.
The 19-year-old was coming off a defeat on debut with the organisation but a pair of beautifully placed right hands in the second round of his clash with Nakrob Fairtex put him back in the win column.
The rangey Algerian was always going to have the reach advantage at the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok and made this work for him from the start of the flyweight Muay Thai bout.
Finding a home for his hands with relative ease, Anane was close to finishing things at the end of the first round when a stunning right dropped Fairtex. However, he didn’t have to wait too long for the win when a little over a minute into the second round, he found the target again – and this time there was no way back.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by ONE Championship (@onechampionship)

It’s a huge win for the teenager who moves to 34-5-1 in his professional career, and establishes himself in the ultra competitive ONE flyweight division.
Elsewhere on the card, there was another huge win for the MENA region when Mohammed Siasarani stunned Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong.
The Iranian was an underdog going into the bout with the number-two ranked featherweight Muay Thai contender, but was able to edge a decision in an absolute thriller.
Siasarani dropped his opponent for an eight-count in the second, and was then able to withstand everything thrown at him to secure the standout win of his career.
The 21-year-old secured his 22nd career win overall, and fourth straight since arriving in ONE – putting the rest of the division on notice in the process.
In the night’s main event Kompet Fairtex and Kongchai Chanaidonmueang went the distance, with the former earning a deserved unanimous decision victory. Dentungtong Singha Mawynn was able to come out on top following a three-round war with flyweight Denpayak Detpetsrithong, and Petpairin Sor Jor Tongprachin picked up a debut win thanks to an aggressive front-foot display against Kritpet PK Saenchai.

Algerian Muay Thai standout set for ONE Friday Fights action

Teenage star Nabil Anane will return to ONE Championship this week when he takes on Nakrob Fairtex at ONE Friday Fights 32.
The 19-year-old Algerian, who was born in Thailand, has an impressive professional Muay Thai record with 33 wins from his 39 fights to date, and will be looking to add a first ONE win to that resume on Friday night.
Anane debuted in the organisation in June, and was given the unenviable task of taking on one of the sports legends in Superlek. A devastating first round body shot may have brought that bout to a premature end but he is now getting back into the ring on a card stacked with Muay Thai highlights.
The task for the teenager will be by no means an easy one this time out either. Standing across the ring in the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok will be Nakrob Fairtex. The 24-year-old has been highly impressive since entering ONE and has four wins, from his four fights with the organisation – including a brutal elbow KO of Petputhai last time out. Anyone entering the ring with the famous Fairtex name will be no pushover, and Nakrob is no exception.
It will be another stern test for Anane, but one he will relish, drawing on years of experience despite only still being a teenager. A Muay Thai practitioner since the age of 11, he will fly the flag for the MENA region this week amid a stacked card in Bangkok – the full lineup can be seen here.
ONE Friday Fights 32 takes place this week on September 8 from the famous Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Fans in the MENA region can watch the bouts exclusively live on BeIn Sport starting at 3.30pm MECCA.

DJ Khaled earlier this year, our Back to School campaign promises to connect with kids by encouraging them to wholeheartedly immerse themselves in a diverse array of active pursuits. Five fights in ONE Championship we can’t wait to see in September

With September almost upon us, we get to look forward to some of the box office fights already lined up for ONE Championship.
We will have plenty of title action, some legendary fights we have waited years for, and some strong interest from the MENA region. Here’s a taste of some of the best battles to come.
Rodtang vs Superlek
Some fights need no introduction. The ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion, Rodtang, puts his gold on the line against the division’s kickbox king Superlek in a fight we have been waiting years to see. It will finally go down at ONE Friday Fights 34, after many years of their paths not crossing. Both men have the CVs and reputations to suggest this will be nothing less than a classic between two modern-day legends. For fans everywhere, this is one to sit back and savour.
Stamp Fairtex vs Ham Seo Hee

At ONE Fight Night 14 we have an absolute blockbuster to look forward to for the ONE Interim Women’s Atomweight MMA World Title as the explosive Ham Seo Hee collides with Stamp Fairtex. 36-year-old Ham is on a nine-fight win streak and is ready to fulfill the destiny of a glittering 16-year, 34-fight career. In her way is a former ONE kickboxing and Muay Thai world champion, whose win over Supergirl last time out put the division on notice – this one will have fireworks from the outset.
Stephen Loman vs John Lineker
John Lineker picked up an important win on his path back to ONE gold.
Another stunning unbeaten streak on the line at ONE Fight Night 14 is that of Stephen Loman. The Filipino fighter has not tasted defeat in his last 11 bouts, with three of them since his ONE debut, including a standout win against former bantamweight champion Bibiano Fernandes. The man who took that title from Bibiano was John Lineker. Despite some weight issues, Lineker has only lost once in his last seven fights – and we know the damage those ‘Hands of Stone’ can do.
Smilla Sundell vs Allycia Hellen Rodrigues
Champion versus Champion is always a mouthwatering prospect – and when you have two athletes of the calibre of Smilla Sundell and Allycia Hellen Rodrigues, even more so. Sundell, ONE Women’s Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion, is a fighting prodigy at the age of just 18, and holds an undefeated professional Muay Thai record. For Allycia Hellen Rodrigues this is a chance to move up in weight having unified the atomweight division in super impressive fashion.
Akram Hamidi vs Prajanchai PK Saenchai
Akram Hamidi impressed on his ONE Championship debut
What an opportunity this is for Algeria’s Akram Hamidi. He is one of the MENA region’s biggest prospects, with a fearsome Muay Thai and kickboxing reputation, including four devastating stoppages in his last four outings. He now faces a bout that could launch him into superstardom. Prajanchai PK Saenchai is a former Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion and now holder of the interim title, and with hundreds of bouts under his belt has the experience to test, and derail the best in the business. A win for Hamidi would be huge not only for him but the MENA region fight scene as a whole.

Undefeated Iranian fighter Mohammed Siasarani to face big Thai star at ONE Friday Fights 34

Iran Muay Thai star Mohammed Siasarani will face his most difficult test yet in ONE Championship against Sittichai Sitsongpeenong on Friday, September 22.
Siasarani and Sittichai will collide in a Featherweight Muay Thai fight at the anticipated event ONE Friday Fights 34: Rodtang vs Superlek.
21-year-old Siasarani is undefeated in three fights in ONE Championship. The young Iranian talent defeated Thai fighter Avatar PK Saenchai in his first fight in January via majority decision. He then managed to beat his Moroccan opponent Mohammed Boutasaa via unanimous decision in May before scoring an impressive first-round knockout win against Satanfah Sitsongpeenong.
Meanwhile, Sittichai is coming off two wins against American fighter Eddie Abasolo as well as Boutasaa. The 31-year-old has only lost two fights against superstars Chingiz Allazov and Superbon Singha Mawynn. He has scored very impressive wins against top talents such as Tawanchai PK Saenchai, Tayfun Ozcan, and Davit Kiria.
Siasarani will be hoping to score a surprise win against his more experienced Thai opponent to become the second undefeated Iranian with four wins in the ONE Friday Fights series. Last week, 23-year-old Fariyar Aminipour defeated Pongsiri PK Saenchai, extending his ONE record to 4-0.
ONE Friday Fights is a weekly show by ONE Championship that takes place every Friday starting at 3:30pm Mecca.
ONE Friday Fights 34 will be headlined by the long-awaited fight between two of the best Thai strikers in martial arts today, Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Superlek Kiatmoo for the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Championship.
Algeria’s Akram Hamidi, who picked up a second-round TKO win against Jomhod Auto Muay Thai on his debut in June, will also feature on the ONE Friday Fights 34 card where he will take on Interim Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Prajanchai PK Saenchai.
